Habeebh Sylla is a Malian-American creative who decided to switch paths from culinary to writing when the kitchen proved too hot to handle. She’s found her groove in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and is constantly exploring other multimedia mediums to convey a variety of narratives. She graduated with a BFA in Creative Writing and Digital Media and Culture at Emerson College, which has taught her that there is always something to take from a course, especially the bad ones. ​Now that she has graduated, she hopes she’ll continue having a curious and open mind as she navigates this cruel, cruel world. And when something moves her so, she knows that she’ll pick up a pen to write about it.
